Kankkunen with Lancia and Schwarz with Xsara WRC

The Finnish champion and the German ace, together with Jari Matti Latvala, behind the wheel of the Volkswagen Polo R Wrc, are the first “Big Names" revealed who will be at the start of the San Marino event, scheduled October, 9th-12th in the Republic of San Marino.

Republic of San Marino. The first pieces of the big puzzle that will reveal Rallylegend 2014 are beginning to be placed when more than a month is missing to the awaited event, centered in the Republic of San Marino from next 9th till 12th October.

Juha Kankkunen, the four-times world rally champion, comes back to Rallylegend. And he is coming back on that Lancia Delta Integrale to try to win and enlighten the many enthusiasts who will be crowded on the Special Stages. Last year he had to give in to a phisical problem and the doctors advised a period of complete rest. This year “KKK” is back behind the wheel with the aim of dominating the “Myth” category. Armin Schwarz instead is the first great name among the protagonists of the 1st Wrc Hankook Trophy, open to a group of selected World Rally Cars of the first period. The German driver will rally on a Citroen Xsara Wrc.

Two purebred champions, who add up to the announced Jari-Matti Latvala, highly prestigious forerunner on the Volkswagen Polo R Wrc. And while waiting for the other big names in the next days, who will make, once again, Rallylegend unforgettable, the staff is studying the best way in "Rallylegend style” to commemorate the memory of Bjorn Waldegaard, the great champion who recently passed away. He was among the first ones, back in 2004, who embraced the idea of “Rallylegend”, and came back then in 2012, on the wonderful Mercedes 500 Slc. A great friend, who will be strongly missed.
