Miki Biasion back to race at Rallylegend

Republic of San Marino. The entry list of the 11th Rallylegend’s participants - which officially closes on Monday, September 16th – is getting richer and more prestigious.

Miki Biasion, the Italian driver two-times World Rally Champion, is back to Rallylegend and will race with a Lancia Delta Integrale, the car of his titles, after more than twenty years since the last time he took its wheel in a competition.

Biasion completes, with Juha Kankkunen, Gustavo Trelles and Luca Pedersoli, the super-team "Scuderia Magneti Marelli Checkstar".

The challenge between the Veneto champion and the Finnish ace is similar to that, intense and sometimes harsh from a sports point of view, of the late 80s, with official Lancia Deltas.

Thanks to Magneti Marelli it will come back from the past in a Rallylegend special test, a duel that marked the rally history. And of course neither will want to get behind the other ...

Another big Rallylegend exclusive: Biasion’s presence is of absolute prestige and also a desire to live again the great Italian rally in a period, which has lasted for a long time, where the red, white and green colors have almost disappeared among the protagonists of the World Rally Championship.

This tribute to the period of greatest glory of Italian rally will also be underlined by the presence of other champions: among these, Gianfranco Cunico confirmed his presence. Repeatedly winner of the national Rally championship and winner also of a Sanremo World Rally, exactly twenty years ago, he will be at the start with Gigi Pirollo as co-driver on an ex-official Ford Escort WRC entering the "Stars" category. Then "Lucky", alias Luigi Battistolli, who is experiencing a second agonistic youth racing with the beautiful Ferrari 308 GTB group 4, with which he has already been a great protagonist at Rallylegend 2012, together with Rudy Dal Pozzo.

Rallylegend can also count on the presence of Sandro Munari, the first Italian rally driver to be talked about in the world, who will be at the wheel of a Lancia Stratos , and Gigi Galli, last driver of the Bel Paese to shine in the World Rally Championship; fast and acrobatic, the driver from Valtellina, who still has many fans and admirers around the world, will be among the "Stars" with a Ford Focus WRC, with which he is willing to give great show. A wonderful opportunity to see him at work and to meet him in person.

We will see all Italian highest level champions, then, together with the already confirmed super-champions Carlos Sainz, awaited forerunner with the latest version of the VW Polo R WRC, Queen of the World Rally Championship in 2013, Juha Kankkunen , Didier Auriol, Gustavo Trelles and Jimmy Mc Rae.

In these last, frantic days of enrollment, many important contacts with other great champions of the rally are going to be closed thus completing a stellar Rallylegend 2013 list of participants.

RALLY VILLAGE AND RALLYLEGEND 2013 SPECIAL TESTS: HEART OF PASSION

Once again the proven "container" of Multieventi Sport Domus in Serravalle, San Marino is hosting Rallylegend with the Rally Village, heart of the four-day event, which will start to come alive from Thursday, October 10th, with Administrative Checks and Technical Scrutineering, the opening of the Press Room and route reconnaissance.

Great care and many activities will be devoted to the several thousands of fans expected in San Marino, whose focus will be the many prestigious champions who will be close to their fans for four days.

The center of these initiatives is going to be the celebration of the first forty years of World Rally Championship, with static displays of some prestigious cars and theme meetings with Rallylegend champions.

The start of Rallylegend 2013, with Leg 1 preview, will be at 19.30 on Friday 11th October, with four special stages planned: "Domagnano" and "I Laghi", to be repeated twice each.

On Saturday, October 12th the start of Leg 1 is scheduled at 13.00 , arriving at 19.00 , after having raced six special stages, "Piandavello", "La casa" and the not-to-be-missed "The Legend", all repeated twice.

The closing day, Sunday, Oct. 13th, will begin with the start of Leg 2 at 8:30 am and finish, with prize giving, at 12.00 , after the performance of four special stages, "San Marino" and "Serravalle" also repeated twice.
