Great names in 4th Tuscan Rewind

The 4th Tuscan Rewind, scheduled for May 10 to 12, closes entries on 6 May. The most important innovation is the starting of the rally in the late afternoon of Friday, May 10, with the running of the special stage "Castello Banfi." Two legs are schedules for the magical gravel stages around Montalcino, the heart of the event.

Montalcino (Si). There's still few hours to the closing of entries, but already the 4th Tuscan Rewind promises to be attractive and compelling for the presence, already confirmed, of some important rally champions, while waiting for the final ok for some other “stars” in the coming days.

Luigi Battistolli, in rallies "Lucky", will race with the beautiful historic Ferrari 308 GTB with "Rudy" Dal Pozzo at his side, while all show and adrenaline for Harri Toivonen, in the parade or Autoraduno Hard: the Finnish driver will drive the Opel Manta 400 Group B that, just thirty years ago, was of his unforgettable brother Henri, great protagonist with this car in Sanremo 1983. Among the safety will be cars Alessandro Nannini, former Formula 1 driver with an indomitable passion for rally, with the Subaru Impreza Sti.

Numerous, as usual, foreign crews from various parts of Europe, and not only, among which will be Germany's Michael Stock, with fascinating Porsche 911 Safari, winner of the Tuscan Rewind last year. These big names are diamond tips of a list of entries on the 4th Tuscan Rewind that promises to be exciting and will be completed in the next few days.

The most important news of the Tuscan Rewind 2013 is the starting in the late afternoon of Friday, May 10, with the running of the special stage "Castello Banfi", close to the prestigious medieval castle, now home to one of the most important producers of Brunello di Montalcino wine.

After the regrouping night the first leg continues Saturday, May 11and will be run on the special stages of "Sesta" and the new "Torrenieri" - also location of the shakedown -, which will be repeated three times each. Two regrouping expected, during the first leg, at the Tenuta Casanova di Neri. The second leg, scheduled for Sunday, May 12th, has scheduled the special stages of "Castel Giocondo" and "Badia Ardenga", also repeated three times each. Two regrouping are expected in the second leg, based at Cantina Caparzo.

Final arrival in Montalcino, in the Piazza del Popolo, at 15:00.
