Change the route of 4th Tuscan Rewind

The Organizer: "One month before the date of the rally, we are forced to give up the leg in the Chianti area, for lack of authorization and logistical problems on the part of municipal Authorities concerned, who had previously given an assent convinced for the event ". The 4th Tuscan Rewind, confirmed to date May 10th to 12th, trace back, in large part, the route of the edition of 2012, thanks to the collaboration of the Municipality of Montalcino. With the addition of the spectacular opening special stage, on Friday, May 10th, near Castello Banfi and the new special stage "Torrenieri", also location of the shakedown. Montalcino (Si). About one month before the 4th Tuscan Rewind, changes the route of the rally reserved for Historical Cars, Expired Homologation and also open to modern cars.

And Vito Piarulli, chief of the Organization, explains why.

"We were forced to give up practically the whole first leg of Tuscan Rewind 2013, that we had drawn in the Chianti area. At the time of the granting of permits and authorizations, we found ourselves in front of the refusal of some municipal Administrations and subsequent logistical problems. One thing that caught us by surprise, because previously there had been a convinced assent to the performing of the event”

The reaction of the staff of Motorproject and Rew Events, togheter with Montalcino Motorsport and in agreement with Municipality of Montalcino, was immediate. Within only 48 hours it was redesigned and put on paper the 4th Tuscan Rewind "new version".

The most important innovation is the starting of the rally in the late afternoon of Friday, May 10th, with the running of the special stage "Castello Banfi", close to the prestigious medieval restructured manor, home today of one of the most important producers of Brunello di Montalcino. It will follow the dinner offered to all crews in Sant'Angelo Scalo, before returning to Montalcino.

After the night regrouping, the first leg continues Saturday, May 11th, and will be run on the special stages of "Sesta" and the new "Torrenieri" - also location of the shakedown -, which will be repeated three times each. Two regrouping expected, during the first leg, at the Tenuta Casanova di Neri. The second leg, scheduled for Sunday, May 12th, has scheduled the special stages of "Castel Giocondo" and "Badia Ardenga", also repeated three times each. Two regrouping are expected in the second leg, based at Cantina Caparzo.

Final arrival in Montalcino, in the Piazza del Popolo, at 15:00.
