Markku Alen win The tenth anniversary edition of Rallylegend
The Finn champion Markku Alen, coupled with the trustful "Kikki" Kivimaki, won the 10th anniversary edition of Rallylegend.
Republic of San Marino. The Finn champion Markku Alen, coupled with the trustful "Kikki" Kivimaki, won the 10th anniversary edition of Rallylegend, the international event with the biggest champions and the most important cars in the history of the rally, on stage in the Republic of San Marino.
Alen, driving the Lancia 037, a car to which many of his sporting achievements are related, took the lead in the Historic Legend already in the first stage, and did not leave it again until the end.
"It 's my third time at Rallylegend - claimed at the end of a very happy Markku Alen - and I really wanted to win it, after two drops out, for me and for my fans, who are still numerous, and for the great public Rallylegend.”
In second place, with congratulations by Alen himself on stage, the young Czech Miroslav Janota, with Lukas Vyoral, author of remarkable times with the Opel Kadett Gte and strengthened by its experience in European Historic Rally Championship.
Rounding out the podium the always effective San Marino crew made of Stefano Rosati and Sergio Toccaceli, who finished without damage, with Talbot Lotus among the many difficulties of the Rallylegend two Legs, the first race in the pouring rain and the pitfalls of a slippery bottom, the second one accompanied by a hot sun.
Failed to grab the final podium Gabriele Noberasco, paired with Loris Robba, on board of the Audi Quattro: a spin first and then a puncture in the two special opening of the second Leg relegated him to fourth place.
Beautiful race by San Marino driver Davide Cesarini, with Gabrielli, fifth overall in their Ford Escort Mk, as well as noteworthy is the comeback of evergreen Bruno Bentivogli, with Francesco Cozzula at notes, passionate visually impaired co-driver, climbed to eighth place overall.

Confirmation in second place for Mauro Miele from Varese, with Luca Beltrame, on board of the BMW M3, just one second ahead the couple Simone Romagna and Flavio Zanella, third with the Lancia Delta.
Lagged for being ahead at a time control and then by a penalty for cutting a chicane, the oft-times world champion Juha Kankkunen, with Matti Janhunen, dropped out at the end of stage one, for differential problems.
Legend WRC victory goes to Tuscan Tobia Cavallini, with Simone Scalabrini, on a 1999 Subaru Impreza WRC, favored because Denis Colombini (Peugeot 206 WRC) went off the road, heading the race at that time.
Two Czech crews, with two Skoda Octavia WRC, completed the podium, Trneny-Kafka and Mikulastik-Baran respectively.

FIRST STEPS OF LANCIA 037 4WD-H: PREMIERE AT RALLYLEGEND

After the static presentation, which took place at the Magneti Marelli stand, within Rallylegend Village, Sunday, October 14th , the new "invention" of engineer Lombardi took its first steps in the special show, before returning to the Volta "factory " for the development work.
At Rally Legend 2010 the Lancia Delta Evo ECV1 87 was presented by Beppe Volta, an experimental vehicle with an innovative patented engine and named Triflux, mounted on an originally Delta S4 frame changed.
