Rallylegend: 10th birthday for the most awaited rally event

In three months’ time, October 11th-14th, the 10th edition of Rallylegend will go on stage. This is the international event that celebrates great champions and the most significant rally cars, in a unique atmosphere of competitive spirit, original and exclusive initiatives. As of tradition, Rallylegend 2012 has many new features, and this year this also regards the structure of the race, with the two legs moved onto Saturday and Sunday and a spectacular prologue on Friday. "Safari Celebration 2012" will be the main theme of the event. The beating heart Rallylegend Village will host four unbelievable days in the Republic of San Marino.

Republic of San Marino. With the 2012 edition, which will be staged from next 11th to 14th October in the beautiful Republic of San Marino, Rallylegend celebrates its tenth anniversary. An important achievement for a unique and inimitable event of worldwide importance, that has become a real, well-known brand for yesterday’s and today’s rally enthusiasts. You say “Rallylegend” and immediately four days of "total rally" come to mind where racing, entertainment, encounters, initiatives, stories and passion come together in an atmosphere that you can find here only. With great champions and first-rate drivers who bring the most beautiful and rare cars back on track and who allow themselves without reserve and with smiling generosity to the admiration of the many fans present. And with a crowd of people coming from all over Europe, together with leading media of many nationalities.

It is still too early to mention the "big" names that will be present, but Vito Piarulli and Paolo Valli, who had the great intuition of Rallylegend in 2003, are working non-stop and will amaze everyone once again.

The Zeromille organization, headed of course by the pair Piarulli-Valli, will still count on the patronage of the Secretary of State for Sport of the Republic of San Marino and the collaboration of FAMS Automobile Federation of San Marino and of CONS, the San Marino National Olympic Committee. Also confirmed the enthusiastic support from major main sponsors such as Volkswagen, Magneti Marelli and IWC.

RALLYLEGEND 2012: THE BROAD PROGRAMME, WITH THE RALLY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

The main news of Rallylegend number 10 is on the structure of the race. While maintaining the two stages, the rally moves to Saturday 13th and Sunday, October 14th, whereas on Friday, October 12th a spectacular prologue will take place. A choice dictated by the desire to turn Sunday, a public holiday, into a part of the race, by encouraging many more enthusiasts. Ten special stages distributed onto two legs, with departure and arrival at the Rallylegend Village, which will be built in the Multieventi Sport Domus in San Marino. An increasingly diverse international event, Rallylegend will have its beating heart right in the Rally Village, lifeblood of the entire event. The separation of final results is confirmed, with historical cars built before 1986 that have a separate ranking and a dedicated trophy, as well as the World Rally Cars of the first years (until 2002) together with the Kit Cars, with the most prestigious models built until 2002.

The Safari Rally has always occupied a special place in the history of the rally, of many champions and in the imagination of fans.
