Haddon Paddon: First Subaru R4 test

Today we have had a great first test in our new Subaru STI R4 car. Symtech have done an incredible job building a very good car in a short space of time and today we had absolutely no dramas.

There was great anticipation within the team when we started this morning to see what we thought of the car out of the box. It surprised us all as not only is it a much improved package but our base set-up also worked very good. Throughout the day we made several changes while learning how changes affected the new geometry from which we gained a lot more time and speed. The end result is a car that is much more stable, agile, lighter and more balanced package than the PWRC car.

The team still have some finishing touches to do to the car this week while we complete recce over the next two days. I am really looking forward to the rally and comparing ourselves against some of the Super 2000 cars.

The car will be all stickered up over the next couple of days and we do have a similar but a different livery that we will reveal during the week.
