Rallylegend 2011 started

Rallylegend just started. A day before rich of public, events and waiting for the race. In today programme: route reconnaissance, technical inspections at Multieventi in San Marino, with the opening ceremony, the champions parade at Rallylegend Village and Piero Comanducci’s beautiful movies. Framing the exhibition the twenty beautiful Lancia Stratos, which will continue in the coming days.

Tomorrow Friday, October 7th, shakedown in the morning, a myriad of unmissable meetings and presentations in the Village and at 19.30 Rallylegend start with the fascinating and evocative stage at night.

Republic of San Marino. Rallylegend started. Twenty-four hours missing for Friday evening, October 7th, in which all cars will be triggered for the two stages of the rally, but in the meantime Rallylegend Village in Domus Multieventi Sport of San Marino in Serravalle, bustles with activity, drivers and teams engaged in preparations and enthusiasts from all over Europe, who already flock to the Republic of San Marino. Today, Thursday, October 6th, the reconnaissance of the race by competitors and technical inspections of cars and sports teams took place.

Then followed, in the late afternoon, the parade of champions of the race, presented on stage, including Juha Kankkunen (Toyota Celica St 185), Timo Salonen (Toyota Celica St 205), Marcus Gronholm (Peugeot 206 WRC) Gustavo Trelles (Lancia Delta), with national champions such as Dario Cerrato (Delta Integrale), Federico Ormezzano (Talbot Lotus), Bruno Bentivogli (Alfetta GTV6) and Luca Pedersoli (Peugeot 206 WRC).

Then again, the expected "Legend Stars" Harri Toivonen (Opel Manta 400), Jacky Ickx (Porsche 959 Dakar), Hannu Mikkola (Audi Quattro A2), Miki Biasion (Lancia Rally 037), Per Eklund (VW Golf Gti), Paolo Valli (Lancia Delta S4), the Spaniard Xavier Pina (Peugeot 205 T16), Steven Rockingham (Triumph TR7 V8), with Yvonne Mehta as co-pilot, Piero Gobbi (Lancia Stratos), Enrico Bertone (Opel Manta 400), Dieter Depping, Volkswagen pilot and tester.

A “tasty appetizer” of next days competitions, while the audience has already been able to admire the exhibition of twenty beautiful Lancia Stratos, which will make a nice show at Rallylegend Village, waiting for their moment of glory, Sunday, Oct. 9th, with "Stratos Anniversary."

The evening ended with the screening of Piero Comanducci’s spectacular films, especially the video memory of Henri Toivonen and Sergio Cresto which aroused great emotion.
