Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran win Rally Poland

Press Release26. 9. 2011

Since 1924 Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran have been the first Polish team that won Rally Poland.

Since 1924 Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran have been the first Polish team that won Rally Poland - a round of the European and Polish Rally Championship - two years in a row. The only driver who achieved it earlier was Henryk Liefeld. Having won in the general and second-day classification, LOTOS Dynamic Rally Team again became leaders of the Polish Rally Championship. Kajetan and Jarek look unbeatable in loose surface rallies since 17 months.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz: - Today was fantastic, one of the most beautiful days in my life. I have been waiting for it since we won the previous Rally Poland. Although technically it wasn’t the most difficult rally, it was mentally demanding. We had to cope with the pressure, and I’m glad we made it. We competed ambitiously for the whole weekend and we realized our plan. All the members of LOTOS Dynamic Rally Team did their best. Thanks a lot. If anyone had asked the drivers before the season: which rally they would like to win the most, the majority would have chosen Rally Poland. I dreamt of it, too. Our victory was a dream come true – two years in a row.

Jarek Baran: - Huge happiness. The rally was very difficult, competitors – demanding. We had to sacrifice Saturday and have a strong stomach today in order to win the rally. We made it. The whole LOTOS Dynamic team worked hard for the success. We would like to thank them all for their support.
