Kuipers grabs airmiles and manufacturer´s points

In one of the most specialized rally’s in WRC, the FERM World Rally Team managed to score points in the constructors' championship. Kuipers and Frederic Miclotte managed, in the hilly gravel roads of Finland to get hold of the eleventh position overall.
"We spent a lot of time in the air," says the Dutch rally driver after competing in the 22 special stages near the university town of Jyvaskyla. The combination of the high speed, and the hills resulted in many long jumps. Finland is so dangerous because one easily jumps too long and ends up in the trees.
"It is very exciting, I still have a smile on my face. " Kuipers completed the eighth round of the World Rally Championship grabbing many air miles. "The difference in speed between the recce and the actual race is huge, I am delighted that we got a lot milage in this legendary rally.”"We really benefited from the experience we have gained back two weeks ago during the rally in Estonia," said Frederic Miclotte co-driver. "This weekend we had the speed, without overestimating ourselves."
The eleventh position confirms the progress Frederic and Dennis made. "We have increase our experience, last year we had a crash, this year we finished and bring home valuable experience and points. "concluded Dennis Kuipers satisfied.
FERM Powertools World Rally Team scored manufacturers’ points in five out of seven WRC events. The total of 16 points brings the Dutch team in eighth position in the standings.
The next race is the ADAC Rallye Deutschland, the first tarmac rally of 2011, from August 18 to 21.
